Courtney Skippon: Walk In Her Wardrobe
Courtney Skippon is a true BLANCA aesthete – these matching shirt and shorts sets seem made for her. You’ll find her on the sand, in the water and capturing her inspired life, snapping the colours, shimmers and little details that are so easily overlooked (yet make all the difference). A collector of moments. And so, we add her beautiful and calming self to our own collection. Read up on her personal style, perfect dinner party and more below.
On escaping the rain:
Vancouver and the rain are inextricably linked, and as such, I’ve probably spent half my life hiding from it. Indoors, but eventually in the South of France (and now Sydney). After meeting my Aussie partner there, I relocated to the Northern Beaches where I can start my days with the sun and a morning swim. Nearly 2 years in, and I am still in downright disbelief of that reality.
I work full-time in content creation and have done since 2019. I recently started working a few evenings a week at a local wine bar, too. While at times this is a test to one’s resolve, it’s proven to be a real point of community connection for me – something I’m really grateful for as an expat.
On personal style:
I think I’m only now, in my 30's, seeing my personal style develop into something long-lasting. I have a better sense of my body: what I feel good in, what I look good in (hint: these are usually the same), and the self-confidence to know that I don’t have to dress for anything more than that. This can be easy to lose sight of in the age of the internet. If I were to employ the *three-word method*: effortless, feminine, considered – I’m learning to keep sight of this while still leaving room for fun.

On ‘you’ outfits:
Something that can take it from beach to (wine) bar and well-applied accessories. Jewellery has become the backbone of my wardrobe.
On high-repeat items:
The Blanca button-ups and sets are well and truly my most worn pieces - they are effortless, fun and so versatile. Silk Laundry and UNIKSPACE can do no wrong for me in that regard, too, and I love their ethos. A Blanca button-up/silk pant combo is the perfect intersection of comfortable/cool (and certain to get compliments).
Most of my accessories are everyday, never-leave-my-body jewellery. Custom pieces, gifts, vintage finds: things I carry with me that hold meaning, feel unique to me, and elevate every outfit. I’m a sucker for a good leather bag, too, and could do without shoes at all.
On an average day:
I like to wake up early and relish in a few unrestricted hours. Expectations are so low at 6am, and nobody is asking much more of you than if you want a croissant (yes) with your coffee. I try to get a walk in and a swim if I can before settling into work – this could be content planning, shooting, editing, or admin (people aren’t talking enough about content creation being 99% emails). I work from home, so true-to-form, I’m wearing something comfortable but put-together enough for me to feel productive.
On home:
I recharge alone, and having a clean, quiet space is what declutters my mind the most. Our homes are such a place of restoration and creative expression and I think the state of the current housing market really denies a lot of people that. I love figuring out my taste, surrounding myself with beautiful things that bring me joy, using and looking at them often. Natural light is my vital spark.
On finding inspiration:
Always in nature. I’m most influenced by time and place, so I want my content to feel like a portrait of that. Why I wear what I wear, use the products I use, eat what I eat is all evoked by my environment – it’s a reflection of that.
On the perfect dinner party:
A table with good food on it, decent wine to drink, people I know and love. The latter continues to exceed my dinner party expectations to a degree I didn’t think possible. The atmosphere and decor should be lovely and special and charming – this doesn’t mean flawless, it just means the flaws don’t matter or you’re too busy laughing to notice them.

On Resetting:
A day spent at the beach with a book and the anticipation of something good on the menu for dinner.
On our weekend plans:
A sunrise coffee, the beach, Bistro Boulevard for steak frites.
