Belle Perez: Walk In Her Wardrobe
Content creator Belle Perez shows us the best of a global life – answering our probing questions from her base in London, capturing Blanca looks in regional Victoria, Australia. Fitting, really, as we prioritise transeasonal and timeless wear.
“I’m not big on routine—I get bored easily—so being a freelancer and making every day my own is something I find really special and never take for granted,” says Belle. All the more reason to curate a wardrobe of mix-and-match, ready-for-anything pieces, we say.

On her style evolution:
For the past year, I’d say my style has been split 50/50 between “pretty girl/ballet-core” and a more oversized, boyish, cool-girl vibe. My style is definitely a product of my environment and what I’m exposed to, so being in London makes me open to experimenting and getting more creative with fashion.
On ‘you’ outfit essentials:
A cute bag! I’ll always have one with me, even if I’m just in sweats.
On high-repeat clothing and accessories:
Right now, it’s definitely my Uniqlo Heattech thermals—haha, it’s freezing in London, it snowed this morning!! But since no one can see those layers, my black Carmen Coat from Blanca last year is the standout, along with my new Lexxola Cami sunglasses. They’re very 2000s and bratty, which I’m loving right now.
On her average day:
Honestly, there’s no such thing as an average day for me—every day looks different! If I’m out and about, though, you’ll probably catch me wearing my friend’s vintage Armani coat, which I borrowed while she’s in Australia (thanks Stella). But if I’m home working on my computer, I’m in a cosy sweatsuit from Sweats.
On balancing all the plates (with the help of a curated wardrobe):
My wardrobe really gives me the tools to tackle whatever I’m up to. I try to dress for the occasion, and it helps me get into the right mindset. Getting dressed used to stress me out, but now I just go with what feels right and focus on what I need the outfit to do, as well as what I need to do in the outfit.
On summer styling:
Find a summer silhouette that you’re comfortable in and stick with it. For me, it’s mini shorts and a baggier top. I’ll switch it up here and there, but it’s great to have a default look that always works.
On take-everywhere essentials:
Lip balm! I’m obsessed with the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask and use it all day, not just at night.
On her space:
My home is cosy and comfortable, but I wouldn’t say it’s a major source of inspiration. As an Aussie living abroad, I haven’t prioritised decor, knowing I’ll eventually head home. But since I’m extending my visa another three years, maybe I should start investing in it!
On finding inspiration:
Mostly just by being out and about! East London is full of people wearing the coolest pieces and styling them in ways that really stand out. I also love visiting galleries and exploring new spots around London.
Travelling is another huge source of inspiration for me, so living in London with Europe right on my doorstep is amazing for that!
On resetting and relaxing:
I LOVE going to the cinema, so that’s my go-to if there’s something good playing. Otherwise, it’s a good movie at home with my phone far, far away.
I always do a big reset when I go back to Australia for the holidays. There’s nothing as relaxing as being on my family couch with my puppy, Enzo.
On our weekend plans:
If it’s your first time in London, I’d show you some of my favourite spots along with the must-see places!
On Saturday, we’d go to Portobello Market in Notting Hill—you can’t come to London and skip it. I’d make you try a cookie from Crème, and we’d do some vintage shopping. Lunch would be from the food market, and then we’d relax at a pub. Later, we’d head to Exmouth Market, grab a drink at Cafe Kick, then go down the street to Ken’s for wine and small plates.
On Sunday, we’d go to Dusty Knuckle for coffee and pastries, then walk through Broadway Market, people-watch in London Fields, and head into central London. It’s a weekend nightmare but worth it for a stroll down Oxford and Regent Streets. We’d wrap it up with a show on the West End.
